Dr. Daphne C. Edwards is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) who has worked in pediatric healthcare for over 30 years. In 2011, she obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Virginia Commonwealth University with a research focus in childhood obesity prevention. This allowed her to provide more holistic care for children with more complex and unique healthcare needs.
Dr. Daphne had served as a nurse supervisor, Sickle Cell nurse coordinator, student preceptor, research project coordinator and federally funded grant manager. While working as a PNP, she had gained experience in a wide breadth of fields, including neurology, development, feeding, and urgent and primary care. She joined Virginia Pediatrics in 2009.
Dr. Daphne had completed the Leadership Education In Childhood Neurodevelopmental Disabilities certificate program. She is a member of NAPNAP, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society, Alpha Sigma Chi Honorary Leadership Society, Outstanding College Students of America, and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. In her free time, she enjoys running, biking, and reading.
